Frequently Asked Questions
Regarding Spa Ownership

  1.  What are the power requirements for a spa?

Answer:  Depending on the model of your spa chosen the requirements will be; 110volt dedicated outlet with a 20 amp plug for small models or 220 volt hard wired connection with a 50 amp service for larger models.

  2.  Are there any special instructions to fill my spa at start up?

Answer:  Just fill with a garden hose and enjoy. Use test strips to determine the content of metallic minerals in your water, balance the pH and start the sanitation process. We have the products to help you with this.

  3. How is a spa delivered from your warehouse?

Answer:  We personally hand deliver every spa and put it in place. We have special equipment to go over the lawn and even up steps on a deck.

  4. Can I place my spa on a deck?

Answer: Yes, but be sure to check with the deck builder to determine the weight capacity that your deck can support.

  5. Can the spa be placed in my yard on grass or dirt?

Answer: Generally the spa should have a supportive, level base to sit on. We recommend a 4 inch concrete slab, or a well-constructed, supportive wooded deck. If either of these options are not available you can purchase a pre-fabricated resin spa pad that comes in 6 pieces and is designed to support the weight of a spa. The portable spa pads sells for approx $300 and can be purchased from your local spa dealer. Another good alternative would be to use pea gravel on level ground. This keeps the spa away from water and is a quality installation, yet economical. It is also easily reversed if you have to move and take your spa.

  6. What are the electrical costs associated with a spa every month?

Answer: Depending on the size, amount of use and outside temperature, on average most models cost average $20.00 per month. That is with keeping the spa temperature at 100 degrees and using it for one hour every day. Heat rises, so the longer the cover is off the more the heater has to work to keep the temperature up.

  7. What is the warranty? How do I get service?

Answer: We carry filters and some parts. Most parts have to be ordered from the manufacturers.

Our warranties vary by model. Warranties range from 1-10 years on the spa equipment and the spa shell warranties ranges from 1 year to lifetime. In the unlikely event you should need service you can either contact us or one of our field technicians.  We are always here for you, with experts standing by. We will gladly trouble shoot your problems.
